My Camino - the podcast

Pilgrims who have walked the Camino de Santiago tell the story of their Camino

A weekly podcast featuring interviews with pilgrims from around the world who have walked the many paths to the remains of Christ's Apostle St James in Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain. Hosted by Sydney broadcaster and producer Dan Mullins, My Camino - the podcast will explore pilgrims' motivation for undertaking their Camino, what they carried, where they stayed, how far they walked each day and many other questions. We'll also explore the mystical nature of the Camino ~ and what makes it so special to so many pilgrims from around the globe. If you're a pilgrim or are thinking of completing the Camino de Santiago, this podcast is for you.

Larry Phillips has walked two Caminos with his wife Des.

We talk about their motivations, their challenges and their successes.   This is a podcast about making lifelong friends, sharing a journey of love together and wishing you had your children with you to share it too.

I loved Larry's enthusiasm and commitment ~ I know you will too.

Join APOC on Facebook - it's an outstanding resource for pilgrims right across the globe.

I have some walking to do - until next week....

Victorian author and pilgrim Margaret Caffyn sent me a copy of her new book and I read it in less than 24 hours.

Margaret writes:  "I realised the busy years of motherhood and its accompanying domesticity, along with the responsibility of being the 'rock' to everyone, had taken its toll.   I had lost myself by being everyone's someone, and had slowly neglected to look after myself.   Where had I gone, and why was I feeling invisible?"

We find some of the answers in this podcast.

You can invite Margaret to speak at your function or event - email her at

You can buy a copy of the book here -

Until next week

I spoke with Brad Genereux in Week Ten of My Camino - the Podcast.  He was heading to the Camino taking with him a US war veteran and he hoped the walk would ease the soldier's post traumatic stress disorder.  This was actually recorded about a week ago ~ Brad has since finished his Camino.

To support the work he does go to

Mick McQueen was my guest in Week Eleven.   He told us his harrowing tale of being abused by clergy as a child - in fact I was the first person he told after telling his wife the secret he'd kept close his whole life.   Mick too hoped to lighten the load on his soul as he walked.   He's still out there walking and I caught him as you'll hear, just inside WiFi range for about 20 minutes.   It's pure Mick McQueen!!

Thanks for all your support ~ some great interviews to come, next week and beyond.
